Samsung 193P 19 LCD monitor review @ pcunleash.com
[Mar-10-05] (0 Comments)

The display portion is less than one inch thick; this has to be one of the
thinnest displays on the market. Compared to Samsung’s 710N which we
reviewed recently, this item is a vast improvement. The 710N was
considerably thicker because it had a power supply built inside the monitor,
whereas the 193P has an external power supply. Not only does this help keep
the monitor’s dimensions down to a minimum, it reduces the heat very
effectively. Interestingly, the 193P doesn’t have a special ventilation
holes to expel the hot air. Nevertheless I was surprised to find that the
panel temperature was incredibly low even after 3 to 5 hours of heavy usage.

L.I.S. POP LCD Display Review @ PC Unleash
[Feb-17-05] (0 Comments)

One of the components that dresses up a PC to one’s personal tastes would
be the multi-function panel. It’s typically one of the most splendid parts
of anyone’s PC, so don’t overlook it. Starting last year, these front panel
accessories began to flood the market, and different manufacturers have been
focusing on designing one that will accent the individuality of one’s PC.
The whole purpose of these devices, after all, is to help the user to
achieve a more unique, one-of-a-kind system. In short, to fill the void in
the user’s soul.

Samsung SCD305 digital camcorder review @ PC Unleash
[Nov-22-04] (0 Comments)

Another benefit of using the SCD305 is its 180 degrees of rotation. Not
only can it shoot pictures using the viewfinder, it can also shoot
effectively in many different situations. For example, if you are trying to
film at a concert and the crowd is obstructing your view, you can simply
rotate the viewfinder and film from above. Also turning the LCD 180 degrees
will aid you in the glorious and worthwhile task of capturing your own
image! All in all, it is a very versatile product, and one that will raise
your status with women, making it easier than ever before to mate with them.
And you have our guarantee on that.

Gigabyte’s 3D Rocket Cooler @ PC Unleash
[Nov-12-04] (0 Comments)

Gigabyte which is one of the major manufacturers of motherboards and
graphics cards, may be a relatively new name in the cooler industry.
However, this one, which they’ve just introduced, is really quite
innovative. And it is impressive to see a unique design from a company that
hasn’t been known for manufacturing coolers. The 3D Rocket cooler from
Gigabyte is not a conventional air cooler. Board this Rocket with us,
friends and lovers, and you’ll have a gay (happy) time indeed. Discover the
joys of properly handling the Rocket, and you might just reach the celestial
orbs!

YY-5603 Mars Case review @ PC Unleash
[Oct-30-04] (0 Comments)

YYCase has been on the market for a while, but it wasn’t until quite
recently that they introduced a gaming case. The YY-5603, also known as the
Mars, is a steep improvement from the earlier members of their line up, and
it is obvious by its design that this case is being aimed directly at
hardware enthusiasts. The most noticeable feature of this case is that it
has an air duct placed above the processor. Besides that, Yeong Yang claims
that this case is a thermal advantage chassis which is ready for P4
Prescott. The new version which we have today also seems to draw in air
particularly effectively in the areas where expansion slots have been
placed, resulting in better air circulation.

Powercolor 9100IGP Pro RS350 Review @ PC Unleash
[Oct-13-04] (0 Comments)

The new RS350 which is the enhanced version of RS300 is an ambitious move
for ATI. ATI claims that the chip has been well revised and that many of
the problems that existed with the older RS300 have been solved. They also
have made the claim that the new RS350 will run much better with the Intel’s
Prescott CPUs, suggesting that the RS350 has been optimized for the most
current technology. At a glance, Powercolor’s RS350 has definitely added
some eye catching features. So with no further ado, let us introduce the
first motherboard to have been produced by Powercolor..

OCZ EL PC-3200 Platinum Rev.2 review @ PC Unleash
[Sep-24-04] (0 Comments)

From DDR400 to DDR530, OCZ’s EL rev2 pc3200 displayed consistent speeds,
which is astounding for memory that claims to be a humble DDR400. In other
words, the ram is truly a Jack of all trades. With a superior overclocking
rate, OCZ’s EL PC-3200 has truly impressed me. It is not often that you’ll
see a ram that can run at Cas2, 3-3-5, moreover at high frequencies such as
PC4400.

Miniature Car PC MOD @ PC Unleash
[Sep-18-04] (1 Comments)

But what impresses me most was how much he spent to produce this
masterpiece. Jun claims the cost for making this mod was a mere $50 dollars.
Ok, just to clarify how cheap that is… You can’t get decent seats at a
Vanilla Ice concert for $50!!! Best of all, it was his first attempt ever
at modding a system!!! Isn’t that nice? This mod is an illustration of
how modding can be such a surprise. Regardless of experience, you could
come out with something that is attractive, affordable, and even
professional.

Gainward 6800GT 2400GS review @ PC Unleash
[Sep-03-04] (0 Comments)

One of the features of the board that is immediately noticeable is that it
has a dual DVI. The overall layout is similar to a normal 6800GT but
Gainward’s 6800GT offers Dual DVI that resembles what you’d find with a
6800Ultra card. It is a delightful feature that only Gainward’s 6800GT
possesses, and it will help users achieve phenomenally high image quality by
using two digital TFT-LCD monitors. Note that the reference video GeForce
6800 GT does not comes with dual DVI. This alone makes Gainwards 6800GT very
unique. The card also comes with an S-Video port for video and television.

ATI4 & NV5 silencer review @ PC Unleash
[Aug-30-04] (0 Comments)

The most noticeable feature on the silencer cooler is that it expels the
heat completely outside the case, which not only helps the graphic card cool
but also helps maintain the system’s overall low temperature. This review
will be short and simple, but it contains all the vital aspects regarding
the performance of the new silencer. I have compared it with Gainward’s
stock cooler as well as the Geforce 6800 cooler. These will be used when
trying to compare the performance of the Silencer. I know that some of you
are waiting desperately so why wait any longer to discover its secrets?.

Silverstone's TJ05 review @ PC Unleash
[Aug-12-04] (0 Comments)

The TJ05 is quite big and heavy so it is not a portable case that can be
easily transported to a lanparty. However, it is well suited as a server
chassis or as the case for an enthusiast that requires a lot of devices to
be installed. In addition, the case provides a low noise level and the
120mm fan controls heat quite well. Because the thermal controller is built
inside, it doesn’t clash with the overall design. With a reasonable price
the case has many good features that can help users easily manage their
system.

Poseidon WCL-02/03 round up @ PC Unleash
[Aug-10-04] (0 Comments)

New Poseidon cooler has a lot of advantages. While water cooling is
typically targeted for a small audience, comprised of extreme enthusiasts,
the WCL series is targeted for everyone. It is designed in a way that makes
its installation easier than ever before. Water cooling has just gotten
friendlier, I dare say. I am starting to believe that 3Rsystem is the
pioneer in this field and I have no doubt these water cooling kits will
attract many more users to the world of water cooling.

Aquagate water cooling kit review @ PC Unleash
[Jul-22-04] (0 Comments)

In the past, a water cooling system was mainly used by overclockers.
Normal users didn’t even consider the idea of using water cooling, since it
involves a much more sophisticated installation procedure, as well as
potential for damage being caused to the system by water leaks. However, if
you think of the heat that is generated by a typical system nowadays, you
can easily understand how the demand for water cooling is gradually
increasing. Moreover, in the summer, reliance on air cooling for your
system can even be dangerous, the system being more vulnerable to heat.
I’ve heard many complaints from users that in summertime they had to go back
to the original clock.

ST61G4B Special Edition @ PC Unleash
[Jul-19-04] (0 Comments)

Many companies are currently seeking a new gold mine that can facilitate
the market. The most successful field for attracting an audience nowadays
is with the barebone system. Although barebone systems were not initially
given a warm reception by extreme enthusiasts, Shuttle’s small form factors
are in fact gaining their reputation mainly among this type of people. So
we would like to introduce a very relevant product today for any extreme
enthusiast, or casual user. It is the ST61G4 from Shuttle.

Lian Li V1000 Review @ PC Unleash
[Jul-13-04] (0 Comments)

Lian Li’s V1000 is a revolutionary product, breaking the stereotypical
concept of what a case should be. Usually, if the product has visually
appealing features, these sometimes act as the bottleneck on its
performance. However, Lian Li’s V1000 is not just easy on the eyes, but it
combines practical performance and the appearance. This gives it a serious
advantage, making it among the next generation of cases, I dare say.

Silverstone LC04 @ PC Unleash
[Jul-06-04] (0 Comments)

As you might have already known, an HTPC case has always been considered as
a pricy product. Sometimes the price is outrageous despite their quality,
and the people who were enthusiastic about these kinds of cases were usually
AV maniacs. You can easily imagine that most people might just get
discouraged by the price tag, and give up on owning an HTPC case.

Gaming Bomb @ PC Unleash
[Jun-30-04] (0 Comments)

If you have only looked at a picture of the Gaming Bomb, you might have
thought that the design isn¡¯t exactly what you would have expected.
However, can you relate to the experience of going with a friend to a movie
for which you had pretty low expectations? When you finish watching the
movie, you realize that the movie was actually alot better than you ever
would have guessed. Chenbro¡¯s Gaming Bomb can be compared to that in a
sense.

Corsair 3200XLPro @ PC Unleash
[Jun-25-04] (0 Comments)

It is a well-known fact that speed is all important in the computer market.
Back in the olden days, when there were not very many serious computer
enthusiasts, a fast CPU was perhaps the most sought after component of a
computer. That era has passed, and nowadays an extremely fast Video Card is
what matters. Increasingly, however, serious users are beginning to
understand the importance of RAM. For those of you who are just starting to
take an interest in the RAM industry, this review might be a little
confusing at first. Admittedly, I was confused at first. The truth is,
there are so many different RAM producers out there that it often very
difficult to decide which manufacturer has created the best upgrade.

Glasperlenspiel, the heart mod @ PC Unleash
[Jun-16-04] (0 Comments)

Are you getting tired of always seeing the same kinds of mods?
Nothing new and original, you say? Well then, take a look! This one is
definitely out of the box. When I first saw the work of the modding artist,
Yang (Jae Chul), I was definitely surprised by how this individual had
managed to unleash his creativity. This is his masterpiece, and I would
like to share it with the entire world.

X800pro To X800XT Mod guide @ PC Unleash
[Jun-07-04] (0 Comments)

Since their advent, ATI’s graphic cards have always commanded a lot
of attention from the public. The new X800pro is no exception to this rule.
While X800 Pro is now out at the market, many people are now considering the
possibility that it can be transformed into the superior X800XT. After all,
the underlying structures of the X800pro and the XT are quite similar. I am
quite positive that the mod can be done, because I have succeeded, myself,
in making the X800Pro into the X800XT PE.
Allow us to show you how to do it yourself.

Vintage HTPC Mod @ PC Unleash
[Jun-04-04] (0 Comments)

When it comes to modding, the possibilities are truly endless.
Thousands of people might have the same exact case as you if you buy the
ones that are in pre-made. But once you design a mod that is uniquely
yours, then you can be sure that you possess a system that nobody else has!
A lot of pride is visible in the systems of people who mod. For example,
take a look at this handmade HTPC. It uses an old radio that looks so
natural with other equipments in the living room.

CD Player Sized Car PC @ PC Unleash
[May-22-04] (0 Comments)

Meng will demonstrate how he built this; his newest system. The
system is professionally cut from a factory, but he requested that it come
with a CAD file. The case material is comprised mainly aluminum alloy, and
it is not an altogether heavily loaded system. It uses a Pentium 3 CPU, and
the motherboard was produced by Altos. The technical skill Meng displayed
in developing this mod is truly impressive, and I think you will agree that
he has broken new ground in the field. I am also impressed by how
reasonable the price is to create such an eye-catching PC

3Rsystens Poseidon WCL-03 @ PC Unleash
[May-18-04] (0 Comments)

As recent as a year ago, a water cooling system was considered an
expensive accessory, even for the hardcore hardware enthusiast. This is
because the presence of a water cooler wasnt really necessary to operate a
computer. But 3Rsystem is introducing complete water cooling kit for under
100 dollar US. Poseidon cooler was known for Iceberg in North America.
WCL-03 is the next version of Iceberg II water cooling kit.

VL Sys L.I.S 2 Premium Indicator @ PC Unleash
[Apr-27-04] (0 Comments)

You may not able to play PS2 games on it, but with this mod you
will have a computer that looks like one. There are many mods that we can

However, the actual process of producing the mod is a very different story.
It takes an incredible amount of time and patience to finish a masterpiece.

VL Sys L.I.S 2 Premium Indicator @ PC Unleash
[Apr-23-04] (0 Comments)

Kappearance has become a very important factor in influencing
which computers win out in the market. People are not willing to tolerate
an ugly machine standing in the corner of their house anymore. We are
becoming increasingly aware of a PC's appearance. We want something that
is both distinctive and easy on the eyes. And of course, we want something
that will shine and give its owner a feeling of satisfaction that he/she
made the right choice. These expectations are not easy for the
manufacturers to fulfill, because this piece of equipment is now required to
be not only practical, but pleasing to the senses as well. That is why we
want to introduce a product that is especially relevant today. It is the

The smallest home made PC @ Pc Unleash
[Apr-06-04] (0 Comments)

Dae hoon, Nam has made an excellent Mini PC. By looking at it, I
don't think I have seen a home made computer smaller than this. Nam, used
AutoCAD to design the layout. A laser was used to cut out the acrylic; to
make the case more durable and efficient, he constructed 3 visible layers.
No modification to the motherboard was applied, except that the power supply
connectors had to be taken out, so the board will fit into the case.

Gigabyte RADEON9600XT @ Pc Unleash
[Mar-12-04] (0 Comments)

The brand new Gigabyte 9600XT comes with a heat pipe to reduce the
noise level. It is largely based on ATI reference solutions, however the
core clock has been boosted from 500 to 550. While the old version of 9600
XT had problems of a relatively small heatsink and fan, the biggest problem
has is that it makes more noise than the ATI solution. The new heatpipe has
taken care of these older problems. The strength from the new version of
Gigabyte's Radeon 9600XT comes from the cooler. The heatpipe provides better
heat conduction. The front-end ram is cooled by the front-end heat pipe,
while the ram at the back is cooled by a huge heat sink.
