Thelast time we got out mitts on Jeantech property, the power supplyended up being used in our test rig for months afterward thanks to itsfully modular design. Today I have a slightly more powerful model – the Absolute 1000W whichpromises a semi-modular design, low noise output and stable rails.Let’s see if it’s ready to give our twin Ultra’s the required oomph.

The rails on this PSU look very beefy, and the breakdown shows that most of the power comes from the 12v rails (Certain manufacturers cheat the wattage ratings of their PSU’s; by pushing up the 3.3v and 5v rails to amounts that will not be used in modern computers as modern computers need lots of power on the 12v rail. And this power supply has plenty of 12v juice).

For this review I will be looking at the new Jeantech storm 700wmodular PSU, now personally I am weary of this PSU from the outset, don'tget me wrong on the budget side of things in the case department Jeantechhave got it absolutely spot on, take the excellent Phong which exceeded ourexpectations. But offering out a budget priced modular PSU would make theend user think twice, we will find out if that is the case
